Canby School District is hiring substitute teachers at all grade levels for the 2023-24 school year. As a substitute teacher, you will play an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of Canby schools! This is an excellent opportunity for retired teachers, education students, newly licensed teachers, and other teaching professionals looking for a flexible work schedule. 

 

Please note, a valid Oregon teaching license is required to substitute teach in our school district. Applicants without a teaching license are invited to apply to be a substitute instructional assistant.

Minimum Requirements

• Hold a valid Oregon teacher’s license

Compensation

• Licensed substitutes are paid in half or full day increments; the half day pay rate is $103.20, and the full day pay rate is $206.40
• Substitutes who teach in the same classroom for more than 10 consecutive days will be paid $132.72 (half day)/$265.44 (full day) beginning on the 11th day
